If you would like to learn more about this project, please contact Jennifer Palumbo, Ecsite Projects Coordinator, jpalumbo at ecsite.eu.
Starting from June 2009, Ecsite will coordinate the EU project OpenScienceResources: Towards the development of a Shared Digital Repository for Formal and Informal Science Education. The aim of the project is to make digital collections in European science museums and science centres easier and more attractive to use in a variety of learning occasions. This will be done by improving accessibility through state of the art organization schemes and ensuring user interaction with tools such as social tags (the collective assignment of keywords to resources). The consortium brings together a balanced mix of science museums and science centres, pedagogues, educational technologists, metadata experts, user groups and standardization bodies.
