The European ARTificial Intelligence Lab – a follow-up project to the European Digital Art and Science Network – offers international artists working in the field of artificial intelligence the opportunity to gain a residency at a scientific partner institution and at the Ars Electronica Futurelab. The first residency will focus on “Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence” and will be realized in collaboration with Muntref Centro de Arte y Ciencia (Museum of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, Art and Science Center).

The residency of the AILab is divided into two phases:

• The artist first travels to Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the Muntref Centro de Arte y Cienciashe or he will be accompanied for three to six weeks by a committed scientific mentor in order to gather inspiration for their own artistic work.
• In the second section we go to Linz, Austria, to Ars Electronica Futurelab. Here, too, a mentor will support the winning artist of the AILab Residency. As part of the Ars Electronica Festival, the results will be presented to a broad public.
