In the upcoming months, in countries all over Europe and beyond, a panel of schools (science teachers but also head teachers), informal educational institutions, local, regional and national authorities, academic research institutes and industries, gender experts, parents, and teenagers will be gathering to discuss how to communicate science in a more gender inclusive ways. These panels, called national Hubs are brought together by the Hypatia project, an EU Horizon 2020 funded project that aims to promote gender inclusive STEM education and communication. Led by science centres and museums, National Hubs aim is to ensure cooperation, exchange and discussion at the national level and that the issue of gender inclusiveness in science communication is approached comprehensively.
