Ecsite members Coffee & chat - come and meet your community
What is "Coffee & chat?"
These monthly meetings are an opportunity for all new and existing Ecsite members to connect with each other, with the Ecsite Head Office and Board. There will be no themed, webinar-style sessions this year. Instead, Coffee & chat will provide a moment for members simply to talk, share thoughts and discuss experiences together, rather than listen to presentations.
The meetings will be a place to “drop in for coffee,” and perhaps chat with those that you don’t necessarily know or have the opportunity to connect with regularly within the members community. After a short introduction from Catherine Franche and the Ecsite Board members, the space is yours to then connect with others. We'll be using wonder.me to connect, which provides a flexible, open space for you to engage with your peers (and there's no sign up involved) so make sure you're ready to go ahead of Thursday's meeting.
How to use wonder.me
The platform is really simple (and fun) to use. Follow the link sent in your email and enter the password. Then enter your full name (not your organisation's name) and let the platform take a selfie or upload a photo. You'll then appear as an avatar on screen and you can travel around the meeting area to find other members. Once you get close to another avatar on screen, you'll be able to talk directly with them. You can even make your chat private if you wish.
