A Valentine's Day celebration with a twist this year? The EU Horizon 2020 funded Sea Change project invites the public to pledge one action to #LovetheOcean and encourage others to do the same with strong and empowering messages via social media.
The campaign's central aim is greater alignment between our love and awe of the ocean and our everyday actions, with the aim of acknowledging and reciprocating the many and varied ways in which the Ocean contributes to human health and well-being through simple pledges to take action.
‘Love the Ocean’ coincides with the final Sea Change conference taking place on 15 February 2018 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and concluding three years of empowering and educating citizens for Ocean Literate behaviours. The conference will focus on the project’s achievements and plan for the coming years, maintaining the momentum of ocean literacy by linking with initiatives worldwide in the run up to the upcoming Decade of Ocean Science (2021 – 2030).
Commit to #LoveTheOcean and support the campaign via www.lovetheocean.eu.
