Let it Grow is a public engagement campaign run by Ecsite jointly with EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and BGCI (Botanic Gardens Conservation International). The campaign’s goal is to raise people’s awareness of their local biodiversity and get them involved in its protection.
All members of Ecsite, EAZA and BGCI are invited to join in by registering on the Let it Grow campaign’s website. Once you join, you will have access to a range of downloadable resources and communication elements. You can use the campaign’s logo for your activities, share resources with the community (in english or in your local language) as well as you can share suggestions and events. We want to inform and involve as many people as possible and only if we work together we will spread a stronger message!
The resources will allow 3 different levels of engagement. You can choose if you simply want to raise awareness (1) by sharing general resources and leaflets with your visitors or if you want to be involved by running more practical activities (2) and convince them to take action towards the protection of their local biodiversity and ‘let it grow’. Or you may like to run other activities or even complex measurement events during World Biodiversity Days (3) which take place on 22 May 2016 and 2017.
The Let it Grow campaign will run from March 2016 until the end of 2017. It will be publicly launched soon and we hope you will help us to....let it grow!
