As the Curator of the Science Gallery Melbourne, you will focus on the curation and production of Science Gallery Melbourne’s themed seasons for 2019 and 2020.
Each season will include:
- A thematic art/science exhibition comprised of a mixture of commissioned exhibits, transdisciplinary projects, and installations
- An associated public program of activities and events relating to the season theme
- Collaboration with our core target audience of 15-25 year olds in the development and delivery of the season
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Science or related discipline; or curatorial experience and expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Experience and knowledge in science exhibition curation and program delivery in a public venue including concepts, practices and process;
- Strong networks/relationships with peers within the science and arts communities;
- Budget management skills and experience
- A high level of creativity and ability to deliver compelling public engagement programs;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to structure, engage and present information clearly and interestingly to young adults
