Kyushu University is recruiting for two science communicator posts: one for Natural Sciences and one for Humanities & Social Sciences.
Science Communicators are expected to effectively communicate the University's advanced research findings and initiatives to stakeholders in Japan and abroad while actively incorporating new types of media, including websites and SNS, as well as communications that will emerge in the future. In addition to developing and maintaining relationships with domestic and international media while maintaining close internal communications, the university is looking for new and flexible ideas that are not bound by conventional communication methods, from digital to print.
The university is looking for candidates with enthusiasm and purpose who will work to consider, and systematically implement, communication transformation based on the vision of Kyushu University.
• Offer Starting Date: On or after April 1, 2021 (negotiable)
• Post Duration: 3 years (with the possibility of renewal for up to 10 years)
• Employment Type: Full time
• Salary: Between 6-8 million yen [≈ €42,500-57,000] per year
• Language Requirements: For the National Sciences position, output will be in English, but Japanese will be used in the work place. For the Humanities & Social Sciences position, output will be in Japanese and English.
