The British Science Association (BSA) has a mission: to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science, to reach under-served audiences and increase the number of people who are actively engaged and involved in science.
In order to do that, they created The British Science Festival, Europe’s longest standing science Festival, travelling to a different place in the United Kingdom each year. Their Festival aims is to connect people with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists. It will take place in Chelmsford in September 2021 and will be hosted by Anglia Ruskin University.
To help with more than 120 free events taking place over 5 days all over Chelmsford, the British Science Association is looking for a Festival Assistant, IT/AV Assistant, Festival Ambassador, Building Manager. There is no need to have events experience to apply for the positions.
The positions are for the period of 7-11 September 2021, plus training on 2 and/or 3 September, with a rate of £9.50-10.50 per hour and located in Chelmsford. The deadline to apply is Sunday 11 July.
