The 9th International Symposium of Science Museums will take place on 7-9 November 2019 at the National Science Museum in Daejeon, Republic of Korea.
This year's theme is "Science as A Culture and its Industry" and will focus on the science engagement and popularization trend with a particular interest in commercial industries based on science culture. There will be four sessions:
- Science Culture Contents Industry (books, videos, teaching resources, toys etc)
- Science Culture Dissemination (makers movements, engaging audiences etc)
- "Science as A Play" Industry (smart toy, game, entertainment etc)
- New Science Culture Industry (Living Lab, Citizen scientist etc)
Keynote speakers must be experts with a certain standing within the science centre/museum. Sessional speakers can be experts in the science centre/museum, but also in other fields.

There is no specific deadline, but candidates are encouraged to send in their proposal by the end of April.
