As part of the project implementation, Hypatia’s partners are organizing events for teenagers that are focused on gender-inclusive ways of communicating STEM. During these events, teenagers will take part in one or more of Hypatia’s toolkit activities, which are aimed at empowering them and exploring the range of skills that are needed for a great variety of STEM studies and careers.
On 19 January, Experyment Science Centre organises a meeting between teenagers and scientists from the Faculty of Oceanography, University of Gdańsk and from the Start-up Zone. In Milan, on 21 January, teenagers will take part on a speed dating event at Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci. More events from Leonardo da Vinci include a collaborative inquiry-based experimental event where participants will also have the chance to reflect on gender balance in STEM and a Science Ambassadors event. In Serbia, the Centre for the Promotion of Science is co-organizing a three day conference aimed at orienting secondary school students who are interested in science in their academic path and future scientific careers. It will also present a four day IT course catered to teenage girls.
