On Wednesday, February 18th, Ecsite organised the conference “Science communicators advancing European knowledge society” at the European Parliament in Brussels. Eight Ecsite member institutions presented best practices and ten members of the Ecsite Board brought hands-on exhibits and explainers to ensure policymakers got a better idea of what goes on in our institutions. A roundtable event brought together key figures from across Europe to air their views on the role of science centres and museums in a European context.
The event was well attended, with more than 130 participants joining us for the conference and many more visiting the exhibition area. Participants came from European institutions, local representation offices as well as businesses, foundations and the field of science communication.
