At the #Ecsite2025 Conference the Ecsite Space Group hosts their own Deep Dive session in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). Explore the cutting edge of space exploration and its power to educate and inspire. This session blends insightful talks and interactive discussions, equipping participants with innovative tools and strategies for engaging audiences with space science.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with an introduction by key figures from Ecsite and ESA. Following the opening remarks, Kai Noeske, CPO Liaison Officer at ESA, will present an overview of ESA’s latest achievements and upcoming missions, highlighting Europe’s growing role in space exploration. A special session dedicated to Poland’s contributions to space research will follow, led by a representative from the Polish Space Agency.
A live planetarium show at the Copernicus Science Centre, led by Lukasz Kozlowski, will offer a dynamic look at the wonders of the cosmos. Justyna Sredzinska from ESERO Poland will then provide valuable insights into ESA’s education initiatives, offering guidance on best practices in space education.
The morning will conclude with a networking session, moderated by Audrey Korczynska, providing participants the opportunity to connect with ESA and Ecsite Space Group members. This will be a chance to exchange ideas in a relaxed setting. A coffee break follows and thereafter a roundtable discussion starts on the question: “How to work with European space actors?”. This discussion is led by Fiorella Coliolo, Corporate Strategic Coordination Officer at ESA, and features representatives from CERN and the Natural History Museum of London. This discussion offers valuable perspectives on collaboration between scientific institutions and the space sector.
As the event nears its conclusion, discussions will turn to ESA’s branding and partnerships, focusing on how space-themed merchandise is making its way into European museums. Participants will then engage in a final feedback session, discussing key takeaways and plans for future meetings.
A group photo at 12:55 PM will capture the gathering’s spirit before attendees break for lunch.
Throughout the day, ESA will also have a presence at the trade show, providing an opportunity for visitors to meet ESA representatives and network with members of the space science community.
With a dynamic lineup of speakers, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities, this event promises to be an inspiring platform for fostering collaboration and innovation in the European space sector.
