20 museums across Europe have been selected for the second stage of DOORS – Digital Incubator for Museums, supporting them in the implementation of their digital pilots.

During the first stage, 40 museums were selected to participate in the incubation programme focused on shared learning. Participating museums then had the chance to refine their proposals and be part of the second stage, involving the practical implementation of their digital pilots.

Discover the complete list of pilot projects selected. The museums will develop their pilot from now until June 2023 and will present them at the 2023 Ecsite Conference taking place on 15 - 17 June 2023 in Malta.

Each of the pilot projects has selected one area of innovation as its main focus. Different fields of digitalisation in museums are targeted, ranging from audience analysis and engagement, new revenue and distribution models, to new ways of integrating infrastructure or experimental approaches to technology that bring multiple institutions under a common goal.
