The 2016 Ecsite Directors Forum will be hosted by Parque de la Ciencias in Granada, Spain.
It will be bringing together Senior Managers of Ecsite Full Members for 2.5 days of peer learning and networking on the theme "Unusual partners, strategic alliances". A new format is being introduced: a combination of insightful keynotes, local discoveries, peer learning workshops and opportunities to interact with the Ecsite Board. Highlights include a special science-themed visit to the Alhambra and two keynotes by leaders from Museo del Prado and Science Museum Boston.
Programme and registration: on the dedicated page.
Call for case studies and questions to the Ecsite Board (by 5 October)
Opening: 5 minutes to share an idea or project
What does this year’s theme “Unusual partners, strategic alliances” mean to you? Do you have a recent experience of partnering up with artists, philosophers, policymakers, industrialists or creators?
We are looking for five contributions of 5 minutes each. No “traditional” powerpoint, please – only images, videos… or just you on the stage. We’re looking for lessons learnt – take away ideas for your peers that should include both do’s and don’ts, fundamental questions or concerns
Case studies will be presented on Friday 16 November, just after the Ecsite President’s and our Host’s addresses.
Send a short pitch (300 words max) to communications@ecsite.eu by 5 October, stating:
- What your project consists or consist(ed) of
- The main take away messages you’d like to share
- Your format idea
Contributions will be reviewed by Ecsite and Parque de la Ciencias and selected to ensure an overall balance of partnership types, geographic origin and gender.
What do you expect from the “Board at your service” session?
Following feedback received last year from participants, we introduced a 45 minute long “Ecsite Board at your service” slot in the programme on the Friday morning.
This will be your chance to interact with Ecsite Board members. To help us prepare the most suitable format, we would be grateful if you could send us a quick email, telling us what you expect from the session, which topic you would like to discuss and what kind of format you would find appropriate.
Email communications@ecsite.eu by 5 October.
Note that there will also be a peer surgery session on Friday 18 November, for which we’ll collect themes and questions onsite on the first day.
