Dear Members,

As we come to the end of what has been a busy year, I would like to close by highlighting the success of the Ecsite Directors Forum 2024 and a look to the start of 2025.

I would like to start with a thank you to Donna Speed and her team for hosting the Directors Forum. Directors from Ecsite member organisations enjoyed a face to face networking meeting at We The Curious in Bristol, United Kingdom where we were inspired on the topic of collaborative partnerships. We The Curious shared their journey to reopening after a devastating fire and detailed insights into their comprehensive sustainability programme.

This was preceded by a day of museum visits to the Natural History and Science Museums in London giving us a wonderful insight into their organisations, exhibitions and ways of working. I would like to thank Alex Burch and Helen Jones for their generous organisation.

Moving on to 2025, I would like to draw attention to the call for new board members which will be announced in January. We will be looking for 3 new board members as well as a new President as my tenure comes to an end. Having the right people on the Ecsite board to lead the organisation is critical and I encourage you all to consider applying when you see the call.
