The International Symposium of Science Museums (ISSM) is an international symposium annually organised by the National Science Museum (NSM). As the headquarters of science museums and science centres in Republic of Korea. NSM has built a bridge between the public, museum specialists. educators and academic experts, as well as between members of science museums and science centres at home and abroad through ISSM. The missions of ISSM are to discover key issues in science museums and science centres to prepare for the future: to facilitate interdisciplinary discussion among science, technology, humanities, social sciences, art and cultural studies: to create a global network with anyone who wishes to contribute to science museums and science centres in order to realise all the aforementioned aims.
This year's symposium will take place in the National Science Museum, Daejeon, on 5-6 November and the focus is on Science Centres and Museums with Sustainable Development Goals.
