Ecsite is a partner in a proposal on the Horizon 2020 call SwafS-15-2016: Open Schooling and collaboration on science education and seeks 10 science centres/museums from 10 EU member states interested in participating.
The project, coordinated by European Schoolnet (EUN) will expand the cooperation between formal, informal and non-formal education organisations to promote the engagement of all societal actors with science and open schooling. To do so, it will promote new partnerships (science centres and museums, schools, industry, enterprises, civil society organization, local communities) to design tools, strategies, and activities to cultivate a long-lasting interest in science and pursuits of science careers.Furthermore, a programme of non-formal/informal educational activities will be created and matched with a formal curriculum via an ICT tool in order to establish an innovative learning environment.
