Call for Ecsite Members to Join Horizon Project on Sustainable Seafood Consumption as Affiliated Entities

(Note: Affiliated Entities were previously known as Linked Third Parties)

About the proposal

Ecsite is involved in a new proposal that responds to the Call HORIZON-MISS-2023-OCEAN-01-10: Choose your fish: a campaign for responsible consumption of products from the sea.

This is a one-stage call. The project is coordinated by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute. Ecsite is a project partner.

The project will use a co-creation framework in different Pilot Sites across Europe to improve and expand an existing app dedicated to guiding the general public & professionals in adopting sustainable seafood consumption & purchase practices. The updated app will then be tested in Replication Sites in different countries as part of a European awareness campaign targeting both consumers and seafood professionals through a local engagement programme of activities. As part of this project, Affiliated Entities will contribute by acting as Pilot Sites contributing to the co-creation process or Replication Sites involved in the testing of the app and implementation of the awareness campaign. This is a three-year project.

If selected, the project is expected to start in May 2024.

Ecsite and the Coordinator of the proposal are looking for three organisations to join as Affiliated Entities.

  • To localise and translate content of the awareness-raising campaign package.
  • To launch & test the app locally and gather feedback
  • To provide reports and insights on all activities as required by Ecsite.
  • To disseminate the project in its country
  • To attend 2 project meetings

The tasks in a role of Replication Site will be:

  • To join the project’s network of sustainable seafood consumption ambassadors and implement a local awareness-raising programme based on a package designed by other partners.
  • To localise and translate content of the awareness-raising campaign package.
