Applications are still open for the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement's (NCCPE) 2022 NERC Researcher Engage Academy. This is a new online, experiential nine-month professional development programme for Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)-funded researchers seeking to boost the impact and reach of their research through high-quality public engagement.
We are offering NERC researchers a unique opportunity to develop their public engagement work with expert mentors and facilitators, and in peer learning groups, and through a mixture of live events and self-directed tasks. There is no fee to participate.

This is a completely bespoke and flexible programme developed for, and with, the NERC Community, and we pleased to release our Insights Research Report. Led by NCCPE Associate David Owen, this research aimed to explore the training and development needs, priorities and interests of the NERC community. The report detailed key findings and recommendations, which were then shared with an advisory panel of engagement, academic and wider sector experts to develop the final programme. Read the report here.
Please do forward this opportunity on to any colleagues who you think would benefit from this opportunity. The closing date to apply is Monday 10 January at 18.00 CET.
