Ecsite is proud to announce the creation of the Ecsite Awards that recognize creative and impactful initiatives in science engagement and science communication. For the first year, an Ecsite Creativity Award will specifically encourage innovative actions taken by Ecsite members.
All Ecsite members can submit an entry before 14 May 2015, 5pm.
The Ecsite Creativity Award showcases creative solutions in science engagement and communication. It will be granted to an organisation or team of organisations that developed an innovative action or programme in public engagement with science in the past two years. In the case of collaborative projects, up to three Ecsite members can submit an application together.
An independent jury will be considering how the organisation galvanised resources, energy and talent to foster creative solutions that can inspire the sector at large. It will be looking for societal impact, for organisational learning and for processes to be shared with the science engagement community.
The Award will be announced at the Ecsite Annual Conference on 12 June 2015.
Two senior managers from the winning organisation will be invited to the 2015 Ecsite Directors Forum (18-20 November, Pilsen, Czech Republic) where they will be able to share their experience in a plenary session. Moreover, the winner will see its project showcased on the Ecsite website for 6 months and will be interviewed in the June 2015 edition of Ecsite’s online magazine, Spokes. The organisation will be able to use the Ecsite Awards logo.
See all details on the awards page and in the submission guidelines below.
The 2015 Ecsite Creativity Award is a project carried out with the support of the Fund Ernest Solvay, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation (Belgium).
