The 2nd HEIRRI Conference "Education towards a responsible society, transforming universities through RRI" is almost here!

This conference will present the results of the materials created throughout the three years of the project's activities designed to promote the integration of RRI within the education of scientists, engineers and other professionals involved in the R&D process.

The HEIRRI programmes will be introduced and explained to the conference attendees who will be offered a hands-on session as, at the end of the project, all the HEIRRI programmes and materials will be available in Open Access via the HEIRRI website and the RRI Tools platform, together with several university repositories.

Four exciting keynote speeches will be given by:

• Philippe Galiay, Head of Sector ‘Mainstreaming Responsible Research and Innovation in Horizon 2020 and the European Research Area’, European Commission Research and Innovation Directorate-General
• Rolf Tarrach, President of the European University Association (EUA)
• Melanie Smallman, Lecturer in Science and Technology Studies and Deputy Director of the Responsible Research and Innovation hub at University College London (UCL)
• Vincent Blok, Associate Professor in Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics and Responsible Innovation at the Management Studies Chair Group, Wageningen University

They will address HEIRRI in relation to RRI and citizen science and will put the focus on individuals' participation in the integration of RRI in the higher education institutions context.
