Last night a fire broke out at La Casemate in Grenoble, France.

As France Info reports, the fire started at 2 am, subsequent to an act of intrusion by at least two people. The police believe it to be a criminal act.
As an important part of the site is destroyed, La Casemate will remain closed to the public in the following weeks.

Update on 23 November: The Media Lab, the showroom as well as the Fab lab, which were located on the first floor of the building, have been totally destroyed by fire. However, they plan to reopen their exhibition space on the ground floor on 1 December and are currently searching a site to temporarily host the Fab Lab.
To restart as soon as possible its Fab Lab activities, La Casemate launches a crowdfunding campaign (text in French) to buy new equipment such as machines, tools, materials, etc.
